Antisemitism Moves to the Hague

On Sunday The Hague became the new arena for European antisemitism in anticipation of the opening of the hearing on the security fence. The international courthouse is located in a secluded palace surrounded by a wall and a large garden that separate it from the streets.

Income for Israeli Universities Last Year: $2.068 Billion

Income for Israel's institutions of higher learning grew 2.2 percent last year to $2.068 billion according to a recent report. A ranking of the country's top twenty institutions by Dunn & Bradstreet shows the Hebrew University continues to lead with $458 million, followed by the University of Tel Aviv with $378 million. In third place is the University of Be'er Sheva with $270 million.

Movement for Fairness in Government Asks to Present Opinion in Court

To help Daf Yomi learners proceed through maseches Chulin, a lecture and a live shechitoh demonstration will be held this motzei Shabbos in Jerusalem at Cheftzadi Halls (Heichalei Hasimcha) on Yirmiyohu Street, the latest in a series of lectures and live demonstrations organized by Meoros HaDaf HaYomi to illustrate the halochos of treifos covered in the upcoming Daf Yomi sugyos.

IDF to Focus on Gaza

The Israel Defense Forces plans to step up its activities in the Gaza Strip, including sending in forces for short-term operations and stepping up assassinations of senior Hamas and Islamic Jihad officials in the Strip, according to a report in Ha'aretz. This is in contrast to the West Bank where the IDF is cutting down its presence mainly due to budget reductions.

Wireless System for Burglaries on Shabbos in Bnei Brak
