300 Crates of Human Bones Found in Hadassah Hospital Cellar

Tens of thousands of skeletons and human bones in some 300 crates were discovered on Thursday afternoon, 19 Sivan, in the basement of Jerusalem's Hadassah Ein Karem School of Dentistry. The shocking discovery, which is in flagrant contradiction to statements made by archaeological authorities that all bones that were found were given over for burial, was made through the vigilance of the Federation for the Prevention of Desecration of Graves.

Maranan Verabonon Call on Everyone to Pray for the 13 Iranian Jews

Maranan verabonon, the gedolei Yisroel have issued a heartfelt call to the Jews all over the world to pray profusely for the deliverance of the thirteen Iranian Jews over whose heads the death sentence hovers. The verdict of these Jews, charged with espionage, is to be issued this Shabbos, parshas Korach in Eretz Yisroel (parshas Shlach elsewhere).

Women's Prayer Rally on Behalf of Iranian Jews

More than 1,000 women participated in a prayer and his'orerus rally on behalf of the imprisoned Iranian Jews last week. The rally was held in Bnei Brak's Wagschal Hall, the use of which was donated by the owners.

This past Monday (23 Sivan), a large crowd headed by gedolei Yisroel accompanied Rabbi Avrohom Yosef Shapira zt"l on his last earthly journey. Rabbi Shapira was niftar suddenly at the age 71.

Finance Minister Avraham Shochat has promised Rabbi Avrohom Ravitz that as long as a new list of cities to be given national preference is not issued, grants will still be extended to those purchasing apartments in cities on the current list.

Mass Prayers in Shunam

On Tuesday, 10 Sivan, a unique event took place in Kfar Shunam, an Arab village located near Afula. 13 buses filled with avreichim headed northward to pray at the house of the Biblical Shunamite woman, known as a place where childless Jews go to pour out their hearts to the Ribono Shel Olom: prayers which are not turned away.

Bus Fares To Remain Stable

A proposal to amend the Government Corporation Law so that the chareidi sector will be fairly represented on the boards of government corporations passed a preliminary reading last week in the Knesset. The amendment had been proposed by MKs Rabbi Moshe Gafni and Yuval Steinitz (Likud).

Interior Security Minster: Police Doing Utmost to Locate Synagogue Desecraters

The specific complaint regarding the desecration of the Ohel Shmuel and Neveh David synagogues in Jerusalem's French Hill is being handled by Police intelligence within the framework of the Public Order Squad operating in Jerusalem."

Violence in Secular Schools

A study conducted by professors from Hebrew University and the University of Michigan found high rates of fighting, bullying, and other physical violence, as well as verbal abuse, such as insults and humiliation, in Israeli schools. Some 1,500 teachers and 200 principles were contacted.
