Finance Minister Avraham Shochat has promised Rabbi Avrohom
Ravitz that as long as a new list of cities to be given
national preference is not issued, grants will still be
extended to those purchasing apartments in cities on the
current list.
A number of days ago, the Finance Ministry announced that on
June 30 it will stop the allocation of grants to settlements
on the current list, until a new preference list is composed.
The Ministry is referring to settlements such as Kiryat Sefer
and Beitar Illit which are part of the general, national
priorities list, but not to settlements certified as eligible
for temporary and specific grants.
