Great Protest
We have heard the news and the earth trembles and shakes from
the voice of masses of reshoim who seek to defile the
holy city of Jerusalem, the King's palace, with one of the
worst abominations and ugliness of the nations of the world.
Woe be the ears that hear such things and woe unto us in
whose days this is transpiring.

Peace is a Vision, Not a Policy
David Grossman's speech at the large (organizers estimate:
100,000) rally marking the assassination of Yitzhak Rabin was
typical: strong questions and weary answers. The speech
generated considerable interest and was even broadcast.
Grossman is one of the leading intellectuals of the Left, and
his speaking generated extra emotional weight this year since
he recently lost a son in the fighting in Lebanon.

Stable and Successful Jewish Marriage
Based on the sichos of Morenu veRabbeinu HaGaon
HaRav Chaim Pinchas Scheinberg, shlita
Part Five: Creation at Work
Among the many brochos that Chazal included in the
marriage ceremony is the brochoh of yotzer
ho'odom. It refers to the formation of man. It is very
significant that Chazal chose to call attention to our Divine
creation when we marry instead of when we are born.

cholim, and how much good can come from visiting and
helping sick people. Although I always understood its
importance, it wasn't a mitzvah I was able to do very
often. After all, I was working and raising children, and
really didn't have much discretionary time.
