Labor Ministers Give Peretz Signed Resignations

To consolidate his hold over the Labor Party and to give
himself a stronger bargaining position with prime minister
Sharon, Amir Peretz, leader of the Labor Party since last
Thursday, has insisted that all the current ministers of the
Labor party give him signed letters of resignation.

for Rabbi Neuberger zt"l was held in the Friedman Beis
Medrash of Yeshivas Mir.
Egged Transported Over 60,000 Passengers to Kever
Rochel

Starting on motzei Shabbos, the beginning of the
yahrtzeit for Rochel Imeinu, over 60,000 passengers
rode Egged's Line 163 to Kever Rochel. Egged Jerusalem says
the arrangements involved coordination among various entities
as well as security arrangements, which presented challenges
in keeping the constant flow of visitors running smoothly.
Shearis Yisroel Expands Kashrus Line

Shearis Yisroel continues to expand its product line. Shearis
Yisroel supervises two shechitoh lines: Of Habira,
which is sold by Pulkes, and Of Yerushalayim, which is sold
by Taam Man. All of the hiddurim and stringencies go
beyond standard levels of kashrus, eliminating any concerns
of sircho or any other problems.

NRP Opens Party to Bareheaded Members

Party constitution decided to allow "traditional" supporters

selected for the party's Knesset list if they affirm they

Betzedek Defeats Retroactive Change in Accounting

Accountant retracted his directive to require many
institutions to convert their entire accounting system back
to last year's system to fit it to the General Accountant's

We Applaud the Restoration of Democratic Balance
Amir Peretz, head of the Histadrut, is now also head of the
Labor Party. As a Moroccan and as an experienced champion of
the working classes, Peretz breathes new hope into the Labor
Party and sets it up as a genuine alternative to the rule of
Sharon and the Likud, especially as it has been for the past
few years under former Finance Minister Netanyahu.
