Newspaper Expose Reveals: Following a nisi order issued by High Court President Judge
Aharon Barak in a petition filed by the Betzedek
organization, the Finance and Education Ministries were
forced to make a significant number of changes in their
inspections at yeshivas, making them fairer and moderating
the sanctions imposed if irregularities are found. The
discrimination against Torah institutions has also been
remedied.
Israel's security cabinet decided on Monday night to launch
"a major operation in Judea, Samaria and Gaza" against the
Islamic Jihad terror organization. The Palestinian Authority
will also be punished by the cancellation of the VIP status
granted leading officials which enables them to travel on

The following supplements our report of last week that
covered the large plenum sessions on Thursday night and

off: the formation of a political party that is located at
the center of the Israeli political spectrum. Prescription for Happiness
Happiness! A much sought-after commodity.
But how many acquire it? The world is full of advertisements
offering happiness — the holiday of a lifetime, a dream
house and other less worthy suggestions. But do these really
bring happiness? They may achieve short-lived pleasure, but
long-term happiness is another matter.
Observations: Sunni Arabs Fear Shiite Emancipation The remarkable thing about the terror in Iraq is the silence
with which it is greeted in other Arab lands. Abu Musab al-
Zarqawi has exposed the pitilessness and the moral emptiness
of so much of official Arab life. Zarqawi is a bigot and a
killer. In the way he rails against the Shiites (and the
Kurds) he expresses that fatal Arab inability to take in "the
other." Return Serializing a new novel.
