by Yated Ne'eman Staff
Though some of the details were released earlier than he

Gaza Strip, it was revealed on Monday. Deputy Prime Minister
Ehud Olmert said that the evacuation of settlements in the
Gaza Strip will commence as early as June or July this year.

Yeshiva Budget and Guaranteed Income Cries to the Heavens"
by Eliezer Rauchberger
"The government promised the religious services it provides
citizens would not be affected [by dismantling the Religious

total collapse in the provision of these services," said MK
Rabbi Moshe Gafni on Monday at a special meeting of the State
Control Committee...

New Revelations from the Prime Minister
by Aryeh Zisman
The Prime Minister has long been planning his new diplomatic
plan. He invited reporter Yoel Marcus of Ha'aretz--a
newspaper that has been criticizing him on a daily basis and
demanding that he be thoroughly investigated about the Greek
Island scandal and other affairs--to join him for breakfast
at his Shikmim Ranch home on Monday.

Tools of the Yetzer Hora or Not
Cell phones are certainly one of the wonders of modern
technology with their ability to talk from almost anywhere to
almost anywhere on earth, but even the secular world is
recognizing that they must have limits.

Our Children of Truth and Our Truth
by Y. Baharav
Part I
"How greatly did Chazal emphasize the virtue of truth and
said, `The seal of Hashem is truth' (Shabbos 31a).
Hashem created everything but the trait of faleshood and the
trait of injustice." Each of the negative character traits is
sometimes necessary, but the trait of falsehood would be
unnecessary, were people not to sin.
IN-DEPTH FEATURES
This article is translated excerpts from HaRav Vaye's new
Hebrew book that includes information about infestation in
fruits and how to check them (see review).
Because of the practical importance of this material, we are
making an exception in this case and including the graphical
material that accompanies the article in print which
illustrate infestation in some common fruits.
Bug-Free Fruits
The following fruits do not have to be checked (assuming they have no
holes, and
no soft spots). This addresses only the presence of bugs, and not other
kashrus
questions that may arise.
Avocado; Coconut; Kiwi; Pear; Star-fruit; Fresh dates (sold frozen); Pecan
in shell; Candied esrog; Candied kumquats; Candied apricots; Candied
peaches; Dried apples; Dried mango; Dried papaya; Fruit leather (in closed
