Egypt Refuses to Supply Lulavim for Succos to Israel, US and
Europe

Egypt has halted the export of lulavim from the Sinai peninsula to
Israel, the United States and Europe. The Sinai peninsula was the main
source of lulavim for Israel in past years, supplying 500,000 out of a
total demand for about 700,000 lulavim.
Movie-Free Flights Available to Destinations Worldwide

In response to passengers' complaints to the Rabbinical Committee for
Transportation Matters regarding unseemly movies on international
flights to and from Eretz Yisroel, the committee said that flights to
many destinations around the world are available on airlines that
offer excellent service and show consideration for their passengers.
Some of these flights have stopovers in Europe.
Chareidi Cities Awarded Good Management Prize

the Interior Ministry gave out awards and certificates of recognition

way of life in the chareidi community, rejecting recent comparisons

textbook publishers decided to delete the word "Holocaust" from
schoolbooks and replace it with the terms "World War II" and the "war

HaRav Yoel Tobias, the rov of Shikun Vov in Bnei Brak and chairman of
the Union of Former Romanian Rabbis in Eretz Yisroel.

In honor of his yahrtzeit, 21st Elul
The Gaon R' Yonoson was born around the year 5454 (1694) in the city
of Pintchov. His father was Reb Nosson Nota who later became rov of
Eibeshitz, and his mother was the Rabbonis Sheindel, daughter of HaRav
Yehudah Leib Tzintz, zt"l, rov of Pintshov.
