national tragedy. Below is the English translation. U.S. and Israel quit Durban Conference The U.S. and Israel dramatically announced simultaneously in
Washington and Jerusalem Monday night that they would be
leaving the UN conference against racism currently taking
place in Durban, South Africa. There were rumors that Canada
would also leave but meanwhile it has decided to stay. The Israeli shemittah products sold in the United
States under certification from the Union of Orthodox Jewish

Petition to High Court: IDF Must Provide Kosher Lemehadrin
Food A chareidi soldier serving as a combat paramedic in a unit in
the North has petitioned the High Court with a demand that the
IDF provide him with kosher lemehadrin meals. The
soldier, who filed the petition through the Association for
Citizens' Rights, claims that since his enlistment two and a
half years ago, he has been forced to subsidize the meals

year than any other country's workers. Americans work 137 more
