Atzeres Against Internet in Ramot: HaRav Dan Segal: It is a Battle Against the Best

A mass chizuk rally took place Motzei Shabbos VaYeitze in the Mishkan Shraga Beis Medrash in Ramot Alef, Jerusalem, against the Internet and other technological hazards. It was initiated and organized by the Rabbinical Conference to Strengthen the Walls of Religion and the beis haknesses council in the neighborhood.

Law Guaranteeing Chareidi Employment in Israeli Government

Finally, after twenty years of failed attempts, the Knesset plenum approved this past Monday in its second and third readings the bill presented by Rabbis Moshe Gafni and Uri Maklev to guarantee appropriate representation of the chareidi sector seeking employment in government offices and companies.

The Education Ministry Underfunded Chareidi Schools

An official inquiry undertaken by the Center for Research and Information in the Knesset has shown that over a period of many years, the Education Ministry has avoided paying a component of the salaries of educators in the chareidi sector - in institutions "recognized but not officially registered" (mukar she'eino rishmi) which have a collective student population of tens of thousands. Basically these are the chadorim. The report proves that the chareidi community does not get the funding it is entitled to.
