Jerusalem Municipality Pulls Out of Church Events

Following a stiff battle by chareidi representatives in the municipality and a request by UTJ, Shas and NRP city council members, Jerusalem Mayor Nir Barkat announced that the city will not endorse events slated to take place in churches and will not fund them, and the organizer would be asked to remove the Jerusalem Municipality and Jerusalem Development Authority logos from event announcements.
Yearly Gathering of Lev L'Achim

The annual gathering of Lev L'Achim took place on Monday 28 Nisan in Bnei Brak. Maranan verabonon gedolei Yisroel, roshei yeshivos and rabbonim came together to strengthen the holy work of Lev L'Achim in education and kiruv, emphasizing that everything is done under the direction of rabbonim.
Housing Groups Making Progress in Achisamach

A number of associations have won tenders for housing units in Achisamach. Nachalat Aharon, which aims to provide inexpensive housing for the chareidi public, won 450 housing units in Achisamach and has hired the administrative services of Shlomtzion Ltd., a part of Tzifcha International, the group that built Achuzat Brachfeld in Modi'in Illit. A special agreement has also been signed with the Harel Company, which is insuring the project and providing financial assistance.
