Unique Project at Soroka Helps Identify Holocaust Survivor Patients The Soroka Medical Center in Beer Sheva has launched a unique project to locate and treat Holocaust survivors. The issue of Holocaust survivors has been receiving wide public attention after years neglect by government authorities.
In recent years Israel's welfare policy has focused on employment incentives, notably by slashing children's allotments to reduce the incentive to remain outside of the workforce. But a study conducted by the Bank of Israel indicates that entering the workforce does not guarantee an escape from poverty.
Excellence Nessuah, Israel's third-largest investment company which manages more than NIS 50 billion in financial assets, has entered the chareidi sector after the Eidoh Chareidis approved selected investment funds as being suitable for purchase. Additional funds are slated to join the list in the near future.
