Jewish Man Brutally Killed in Ukraine

Aryeh Leib Misenzom Hy"d, 22, was brutally murdered in the Ukrainian capital of Kiev. Local police are looking into the possibility of antisemitic motives, though certain figures in the Jewish community claim he was entangled in debt following a business venture.

Jerusalem Municipality Presents Plan to Reduce Chareidi School Building Gaps

In response to alarming figures that some 40 percent of classrooms in Jerusalem's chareidi educational system are not up to standards in a city where chareidi students comprise 61 percent of all Jewish students, this week the Jerusalem Municipality presented a master plan for the reduction of educational gaps in the capital.


Arabs Torch Ancient Cemetery in Hevron

Arabs set fire to the ancient cemetery in Hevron over last weekend. No injuries were reported. Police claim there is no evidence of an arson attack since there is a lot of dry, flammable material in the area, but the extreme right threatened to exact revenge against Palestinians, speaking of a "price tag."


88th Annual Agudath Israel Dinner: Safety of Israel and Persecution of Sholom Rubashkin

The New York Hilton ballroom was packed Sunday night, May 9 as Agudath Israel of America held its 88th annual dinner. Two issues dominated the evening: the perception that the United States government is unduly pressuring Israel and the deeply disturbing prosecutions of Sholom Rubashkin.


Health Ministry: 'Laniado Hospital Worthy of Emulation'

"Laniado Hospital functions in an impressive, proper and successful manner, beyond all expectations. The professional functioning of Laniado is worthy of emulation at Israel's other hospitals as well," Health Ministry inspectors concluded following a licensing inspection conducted last week at the hospital.
