HaRav Eliashiv on the Bais Yaakov school in Emanuel: "High Court Decision Reflects Judges' Personal Worldview"
Maran HaRav Yosef Sholom Eliashiv shlita told the heads of Chinuch Atzmai and the members of United Torah Judaism during a visit at his home to seek guidance and instructions following the High Court decision on the Bais Yaakov school in Emanuel that "the High Court decision sets a precedent and reflects the personal worldview of the judges."
Court Accepts Reform Petition Against Equal Funding in Jerusalem Schools
The chareidi educational system was stunned when the Jerusalem Court for Administrative Affairs handed down a ruling in favor of an antagonistic appeal by the Reform's Israel Religious Action Center (IRAC) to reduce the funding of the chareidi educational system in Jerusalem.
With the 2011 budget planning under way, Finance Committee Chairman MK Rabbi Moshe Gafni is demanding that the funding for yeshivas, kollelim and chareidi educational institutions be included in the basic budget and that it be removed from the coalition agreements.
