Brain-Death Law Passed
The Knesset approved in second and third readings the Brain
and Respiratory Death Law this week with a majority of 24 MKs
from various parties against only five no-votes and one
abstention.
AM/PM is still bent on desecrating Shabbos, to the dismay of
Shabbos observant Jews across the country. This week Vaadas
HaRabbonim Lemaan Kedushas HaShabbos met to discuss the
painful fact that the convenience stores remain open on
Shabbos.
The Counter-Terrorism Bureau has released a travel advisory
as Pesach approaches, warning Israelis and Jews staying
abroad for Pesach to avoid as much as possible large
concentrations of Israelis. "The threat level to Israelis in
various parts of the world is concrete and high," warned the
Bureau.
The Torah community in England and around the world was
stunned by news of the sudden passing of Rav Ben Zion Dunner
z"l, a leading Torah supporters known for his many
acts of tzedokoh and chessed, who died in a
tragic car accident on Motzei Shabbos parshas Zav, 16
Adar II, at the age of 45.

Volozhin. A festive atmosphere prevails. The entire baking
process takes only about half an hour, and only the
choshuva people are involved. Maran the Netziv
himself, suffused with joy, glowing with holiness, pours the
water into the basin and the elite yeshiva students do the
kneading, rolling out of the dough, and the baking.
