AM/PM Chilul Shabbos Continues

AM/PM is still bent on desecrating Shabbos, to the dismay of
Shabbos observant Jews across the country. This week Vaadas
HaRabbonim Lemaan Kedushas HaShabbos met to discuss the
painful fact that the convenience stores remain open on
Shabbos.
In addition to the breach in the walls of Shabbos, operating
the stores seven days a week has destructive repercussions
for other businesses and individuals. Feeling threatened by
this unfair competition, some store owners are induced to
open on Shabbos as well, though they would prefer Shabbos
remain a day of rest. Furthermore, noted Vaadas HaRabbonim
members, consumers who once avoided making purchases on
Shabbos suddenly find a store open on Shabbos right down the
street and are tempted to desecrate Shabbos, Rachmono
litzlan.
