Shabbos Shuvoh Droshos Included Warnings to Avoid
Unapproved Cell Phones

Following requests by Vaadas HaRabbonim LeInyonei Tikshoret
rabbonim and kehilloh heads included in their Shabbos
Shuvoh droshos warnings against cell phones without
kashrus seals and prefixes reserved for approved models.
The rabbonim noted in order to avoid the prohibition of lo
sosuru and to safeguard our children's spiritual
education, today various alternatives are available now that
both Cellcom and Pelephone followed the path blazed by Mirs
with the release of approved cell phones of their own. The
phone numbers for approved Mirs phones begin with the numbers
05731, for Pelephone 05041 and for Cellcom 05276. Regarding
any problems associated with cell-phone kashrus or to report
phone numbers that should be blocked the public is asked to
call the Vaad's hotline at 02-5381858.
