OPINION & COMMENT

A High Court Opinion that Justifies Discrimination and Hungry Children

"He hath disgrac'd me . . . laugh'd at my losses, mock'd at my gains, . . . And what's his reason? I am a chareidi. Hath not a chareidi eyes? Hath not a chareidi hands, organs, . . ., fed with the same food, hurt with the same weapons . . ." (William Shakespeare, Merchant of Venice, Act III, Scene I, with "chareidi" replacing "Jew")

Poisoned by Shibud Malchuyos
by HaRav Shlomo Wolbe, zt"l

Where the Buck Stops: A Reply to Rabbi Sofer
by Mordecai Plaut

The presence of problems in any large system does not show that there is something fundamentally wrong with it. The variety within the human beings involved and the myriad circumstances in which they find themselves, almost guarantee that at least some of the results will fall short of perfection.
