Palestinian Patient Planned to Blow Up Israeli Hospital

A 21-year old who was seriously burned six months ago and had
been granted a special medical pass on humanitarian grounds
to receive treatment in an Israeli hospital was arrested on
Monday with 10 kilograms of explosives hidden in her clothes
as she was trying to travel through the Erez crossing between
Gaza and Israel. When discovered she tried to detonate her
bomb on the spot, but with Heaven's help it did not go
off.
Progress in Talks to Prevent Desecration of Burial Caves
Along Trans-Israel Highway Route

Significant progress was made this week in talks to prevent
the desecration of burial caves along the route of the Trans-
Israel Highway during a meeting of the Religious Lobby at
Kibbutz Regavim, located near the site of the burial caves.

condition of the yeshiva world in Eretz Yisroel.
Gravestones Smashed in London Cemetery

Gravestones were shattered and overturned and swastikas spray-
painted along with the words, "A Jewish child dead, ha, ha .
. . " at the old Westham Jewish cemetery in East London's
Jewish quarter. "The shocking face of antisemitism," wrote
the Independent, printing photos of the desecrated
grave on the front page.
Building Permit in Netanya on Condition the Coffee Shop
Stays Closed on Shabbos

Degel HaTorah representatives in Netanya are notching up
another achievement after the local planning and construction
committee approved a request by Kanyon HaSharon (Sharon Mall)
to carry out internal changes on condition that the coffee
shop operating on the premises does not open its doors on
Shabbos.

Rabbi Gafni Proposes Law Allowing Installation of Shabbos Clock in Stairwell Without Neighbors' Consent

MK Rabbi Moshe Gafni tabled a law that would allow a resident
of a building to install a Shabbos clock or other device to
light common areas or stairwells with or without the
neighbors' consent as long as they are not required to
participate in the cost. The law would probably allow
installing a Shabbos generator to light the common areas, as
well.
Sharon Asks Reform Figures to Help Him Elect Jewish Agency

Now it is clear what the real reason for Israeli army reserve
duty always was. Now that the Government has approved the new
reserve law, the Knesset has approved its first reading, and
it is expected to be fully approved by the end of the
