that can reach Israel, but Aryeh Herzog, overall head of
Israel's missile defense system, said that Israel's Arrow
antimissile system can defend against it.

Agudath Israel of America has announced the creation of a
special fund aimed at assisting families with children.
PA Pushes Prisoner Proposals

The stickiest point in recent Palestinian-Israeli relations
is the release of Palestinian prisoners held by Israel. The
Palestinians want all of them released. Israel has
reluctantly agreed to release some.
85 Percent of Applicants at Special Conversion Courts

Rabbi Eliyahu Ben Dahan, director general of the Ministry of
Religious Affairs and the Rabbinical Courts, rejected claims
of red-tape delays at the special conversion courts. He says
85 percent of applicants are approved for conversion at the
first hearing, the remaining 15 percent at the second or
third hearing.

Lupoliansky's new coalition in a majority vote last week in

terumos and ma'asros were separated from wheat
harvested last month for use in matzos to be made for next
Pesach at Yad Binyamin's matzo baking facility, which adheres
to the highest standards of kashrus under the supervision of
Shearis Yisroel.

Gambling is Decadent
The idea of legalized casino gambling, which is a perennial
proposal in Israel, has recently received support from highly
placed government officials. Although it was long considered
unlikely in Israel, now powerful figures including the
director of the prime minister's office and the Finance
Minister have expressed support for the idea.
