Antisemitic Propaganda In European Establishment
Circles
by Arnon Yaffe, reporting from Paris
In Holland, Central European Bank Director Wim Duisenberg
consented when his wife hung a Palestinian flag from the
balcony of their Amsterdam apartment. Over the course of
several weeks the flag she originally acquired through a
Palestinian support organization led to a scandal over
antisemitic remarks made by Mrs. Duisenberg and the use of
her husband's senior position for anti-Israel propagandizing.
"20,000 Families and 100,000 Children Could be Added to
the Cycle of Poverty"; Surprise Labor Change
by Eliezer Rauchberger
"Twenty thousand families and some 100,000 children could be
added to the cycle of poverty. Children's allowances will
lose 21 percent to 37 percent of their purchasing power,"
warned Bituach Leumi Director-General Professor Yochanan
Shtesman during a meeting of the special Knesset committee
preparing the budget-cuts program in advance of second and
third readings.
Palestinians Will Not Release PFLP Head
by Yated Ne'eman Staff
The Palestinian cabinet announced late Monday that it would
not approve the Palestinian High Court of Justice's decision
to release Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine
leader Ahmed Saadat from prison in Jericho, where he has been
held for the last month under an agreement between the
Palestinians, Israel, the US and Britain.
Bnei Brak Builds Big Buildings
by A. Cohen
Despite economic difficulties across the country and the halt
of construction in many areas, two major commercial and
office buildings were recently begun in Bnei Brak that could
provide significant financial and employment help in the near
future for the city and the entire area.

OPINION &
COMMENT
Palestinian Attacks are Immoral and Illegal
It is surprising that none of the press, and none of the many
critics of the press, makes mention of the fact that many of
the actions of the Palestinians are in violation of
international law.

PREPARING FOR THE FUTURE
Keeping Cool
by R' Zvi Zobin
Are you cool? Perhaps you are chilled. You might even be a
real hood.
Fifty years ago, they called it `being hip.' Twenty years
later, the `in thing' was to be `with it.' Perhaps, by the
time this article is printed, there might be a new cliche to
express someone's being a member of the `elite,' leading,
trendsetting part of society -- or perhaps it might be more
accurate to say the group of people who imagine that
they are the elite, leading, trendsetting part of society.
