Gathering in Ashkelon About the Dangers of the Internet
Many Ashkelon residents gathered together upon the call of the rabbonim of the city to a massive rally against the threats of modern technology in order to save the souls and spirits of their children. The high point of the gathering was the public reading of the letter from HaRav Chaim Kanievsky which stated...
New Device that Automatically Shuts off Fridge Before Shabbos and Turns it On Again
Good news for shomrei Shabbos! A new device is soon being marketed for modern refrigerators which automatically shifts them to a Shabbos mode and back to the regular mode, thus averting complex stumbling blocks and halachic questions for those who forget to transfer their refrigerators to the Shabbos mode. The automatic setup of the new device contains a built in Jewish calendar designed for the upcoming forty years which is capable of switching the fridge to the proper Shabbos mode automatically, both for use on Shabbos and Yom Tov, including Yom Tov Sheini for foreign users — without any manual adjustment.

Danger of Becoming Overly Accustomed to Kedushoh of Mikdosh
Yechezkel the Novi (46:8-9) tells us: "When the nosi enters, he shall enter the hall through its gate and leave in the same way. But when an am ho'oretz comes before Hashem on yomim tovim, whoever enters by the northern gate to bow [before Hashem] shall leave by the southern gate. Likewise whoever enters by the southern gate shall leave by the northern gate. He shall not return using the same gate in which he entered, but shall leave by the opposite way."

A Mussar Shmuess by Maran HaRav Yaakov Kamenetsky zt'l
Edited by Rav Yosef Blier
Before we enter bein hazmanim we have to realize that it requires preparation, like any spiritual endeavor. If one does not prepare himself he would be like someone who commits suicide. The foundation of bein hazmanim is that we must have things to do.
