American Agudah Yarchei Kallah in Jerusalem

Hundreds of participants of the 16th Agudath Israel's Yarchei Kallah in Yerushalayim convention in America were privy to a special letter of chizuk from HaRav Aharon Leib Shteinman in which he blessed the gathering for the sake of Torah study here in Jerusalem, hoping that these days of dedication would impact upon the participants to uplift them and draw them nearer to Hashem.

Chinuch Atzmai in Bnei Brak

The recent visit of the Director General of Chinuch Atzmai, Rabbi Eliezer Sorotzkin, to the schools of Bnei Brak, in which he was accompanied by the deputy mayor, Rabbi Avrohom Rubinstein and his deputy, Rabbi Menachem Shapira, and prime activists of the municipality, focused public attention upon the educational empire for Jewish daughters extant in the city. Entire neighborhoods which changed their religious nature to upgraded chareidi residents have created extreme congestion in the schools. The municipality is prepared to meet this positive trend with the necessary changes to solve this problem of overcrowding before it gets out of hand.

In honor of his yahrtzeit 2 Shevat, 5667/1907

Reb Bunim'l, as he was fondly known throughout his life, suffered as a small child from a debilitating illness which left his legs partially paralyzed. His father HaRav HaKodosh Reb Mendele zt"l would often point out, "His legs are crooked but his brain and mind are remarkably straight!"

Chareidim Led the Hatzoloh Network in Europe

by S. Goldfinger

The attempts to distort history, when it comes to anything connected to the central role of chareidi Judaism in rescue operations during the destruction of the Jews in Europe, continue unceasingly. A few weeks ago, the University of Tel Aviv hosted an event entitled, "Chareidi Judaism and the Holocaust." Among the list of speakers at the event, which was of a so-called academic nature, there was not a single chareidi Jew. This article, a discussion by chareidim of those issues, will probably talk about things that were left out of that academic conference.

The Election of Hamas - a Good Step

by Mordecai Plaut

Only someone who has deluded himself for the past 15 years about the core beliefs of Yasser Arafat and his Fatah party would say that a Palestinian Authority with Hamas in power is any worse than one with Yasser Arafat, Mahmoud Abbas and the Fatah in power.
