Change of Time and Place for Agudath Israel Convention
The 91st annual convention of Agudath Israel of America will be held at the Hilton Woodcliff Lake Hotel and Resort in Bergen County NJ, a spokesman announced today. Located between NJ Route 17 and the Garden State Parkway in Woodcliff Lake, NJ, the newly renovated hotel, which is located on 21 acres with an array of convenient amenities, promises a special experience for Agudah conventioneers.
The Ministry Education is Trying to Take Over Chareidi Education
The Ministry of Education, under the current Minister Shai Piron of Yesh Atid, is working to found a new network of State schools that will be called the State Chareidi School Network. Their most advanced effort in this direction is a new Talmud Torah called Beis Rabban in the Neve Yaakov neighborhood of Jerusalem that will be entirely under the control of the Ministry of Education, in contrast to the practice up until now where chareidi schools maintain educational independence, as gedolei Yisroel always demanded.

I. A Time to Give Birth; A Time to Die
The wailing of a baby suddenly rang out. It came from behind the door and spread with the speed of sound throughout the house. A pair of elderly feet swung down from an iron bed and straight into a pair of worn slippers, righted themselves and marched towards the door. It was opened a crack, but nothing could be seen except for the familiar notorious street. A perennially thick smog reigned outdoors and the skies were cloudy and gray.
With the threats faced by those living in the Middle East and around the world from those of Arab extraction, the following penetrating analysis sheds light on important characteristics of the struggle with Yishmoel as described by Chazal. This is not to suggest that every Arab is as detailed here, but that the essential features of the contest are as explained, and the steps we must take -- which are matters of our personal and private avodoh -- are as outlined here.
