Guarding Our Neighborhoods: In a letter published in Iyar 5771 (May 2011), maranan gedolei Yisroel shlita wrote against the various weeklies: "All of the weeklies and the free publications, including Mishpacha, skew and distort the proper Torah worldview we received from our rabbonim, and newspapers of this sort should definitely not be brought into one's home or assisted in any way. Clearly this type of newspaper cannot be granted any sort of rabbinical approval."

HaRav Naftoli zt"l was born in 5410 (1650) in Prague, where his father, Rabbi Yitzchok Hacohen, was Darshan. His mother's name was Eidel.

European Jewry was rocked by the petiroh of HaRav Chaim Kreiswirth ztvk"l, the rov of Antwerp and leader of the Jewish community of the European continent. His influence and authority was felt throughout the European continent and beyond with respect to halachic matters and Jewish leadership.
Many yeshiva managers and heads of various Torah institutions have a feeling that the national leaders of the State of Israel would like to put an end to the Torah world. There is no other way to explain why the Ministry of Finance has been heaping abuse on the yeshiva world for many long years, renewing the attack each year and sometimes stepping up the offensive.
