HaRav Eliashiv: Patronizing Sites Where Shabbos is Desecrated Must
Be Strictly Avoided
A delegation of rabbonim and educators gathered at the home of HaRav
Yosef Sholom Eliashiv shlita to seek his guidance and
instructions — as bein hazmanim and the organizing period
for schools' summer activities get under way — on guidelines
about patronizing vacation spots and leisure sites that do not keep
Shabbos.
Hundreds of Activists Gather for Acheinu Conference in Jerusalem
Acheinu held its annual conference at the Renaissance Hotel in
Jerusalem on Wednesday, 2 Nisan, with hundreds of yeshiva staffers,
educators and outreach activists on hand to discuss topics related to
education and outreach.
Fifty years after the trial of Adolf Eichmann, Germany continues to
disclose documents and testimonials that reveal new perspectives on
the life the Nazi criminal led after the Holocaust before he was
caught by the Mossad and executed in Israel.
The Rosh Yeshiva, HaRav Aharon Leib Shteinman shlita gave a
special talk on Purim Night at Yeshivas Orchos Torah, which he heads,
following a learning session at the yeshiva that lasted for hours.
After the talk the learning continued until Tefillas Vosikin.

Yisroel in Eretz Yisroel arranged for a special aliya laregel during
chol hamoed of Pesach. Thousands came to the special event. Many of
them arrived on a special train that was chartered for that purpose.
The high point of the trip was a gathering in Batei Machseh Square in
the Old City where the leaders of the yishuv addressed those
assembled.
