Hundreds of Activists Gather for Acheinu Conference in Jerusalem

Acheinu held its annual conference at the Renaissance Hotel in
Jerusalem on Wednesday, 2 Nisan, with hundreds of yeshiva staffers,
educators and outreach activists on hand to discuss topics related to
education and outreach.
The Acheinu conference was established five years ago and since then
has become a tradition that brings together hundreds of activists to
hear fascinating lectures and to take part in discussions of topical
issues in the areas of chinuch and kiruv
This year's conference included for the first time a special session
dealing with the children of immigrants living in Eretz Yisroel. The
keynote speech for this session was delivered by the rosh yeshiva of
Yeshivas Kamenitz, HaRav Yitzchok Scheiner (originally from the US)
and by the guest of honor of the conference, HaRav Aharon Feldman,
rosh yeshiva of Yeshivas Ner Yisroel in Baltimore, who expanded on the
topic and even fielded questions posed by participants.
"It is very heartening that there are such people who sacrifice
everything they have to educate the generation and to bring the
generation to the point of `for the earth will be filled with
knowledge of Hashem like waters cover sea,'" the Rosh Yeshiva, HaRav
Aharon Leib Shteinman shlita told the heads of Acheinu and the
outreach activists.
