Scandal: Bank of Israel Governor Lectures at World Monetary Fund on Shabbos
Chareidi MKs protested the conduct of Bank of Israel Governor Prof. Stanley Fischer for delivering a lecture on Shabbos while attending a World Monetary Fund conference as an official representative of the State of Israel.
Minister Dan Meridor Lashes Out Against Chareidi Sector
Deputy Prime Minister and Intelligence Minister Dan Meridor (Likud) let loose a string of blatant, coarse and unfounded remarks in an unbridled attack against the chareidi public and against the Torah-true education system.
For months Jews in Strasbourg and throughout Alsace have suffered from attacks and harassment. Jewish graves have been desecrated, antisemitic graffiti attributed to the far right and to Muslims has been spray-painted and cars have been torched. Since the beginning of the year 15 attacks have been reported. A Muslim cemetery was also attacked.
HaRav Yissochor Meir, rosh yeshiva of Yeshivas HaNegev, spent several days in Panama City visiting the Jewish community before the Yomim Noraim. During his stay in Panama, HaRav Meir delivered chizuk talks, gave brochos and offered advice to the members of the Torah kehilloh, which numbers in the hundreds, led by HaRav Chaim Levy.
IDF Conversions Further Taint Jewish Lineage
The disturbing attempt to sweepingly label the IDF's wholesale "conversion" industry as kosher, marks another worrisome move toward granting this fraudulent apparatus a seal of approval and enabling thousands of non-Jews to be assimilated into the Jewish people under the guise of Jews, after receiving a fictitious "conversion certificate" not worth the paper it's written on.
