State Comptroller Micha Lindenstrauss toured Jerusalem educational institutions to get a close-up look at classroom crowding and other difficult conditions that prevail. Mayor Nir Barkat joined the tour, which began with a visit to Shaarei Daas Talmud Torah in Ramot.
Kfar Vradim Council Head Appoints Synagogue Supervisor to Thwart Outreach Activities

The council head of Kfar Vradim has appointed an official to supervise the local shul due to concerns outreach activities could result in more baalei teshuvoh. Kfar Vradim was originally founded by industrialist Stef Wertheimer who is known to be very anti-religious. The Wertheimer family sold their company, Iscar Metals, to famous businessman Warren Buffet a few years ago for some $5 billion.

HaRav Yaakov Neiman zt"l, who was born and raised in Brisk, where he became a leading talmid of HaRav Yitzchok Zev Soloveitchik, and later became a distinguished rov in the US, passed away at the age of 101. The levaya in Jerusalem took place on Monday 13 Kislev.
