At the advice of gedolei Yisroel, we are continuing to update this site. We plan to post a fuller statement in the future.
Gedolei Torah Publicize Internet Guidelines
Gedolei Yisroel clearly delineated the campaign for the sanctity of education and the purity of the Jewish home in Eretz Yisroel, by publicizing regulations they drafted to quash the dangers of Internet and "chareidi" websites and to protect unwary Jews from website operators who are considered machti'ei harabbim ("those who lead others astray") in grave matters that are liable to wreak havoc in the present and for generations to come.
(Prepared for parshas Vayigash) "This is a great tikkun for Klal Yisroel, for the battle is being waged to save the generation and to ensure generations to come continue to exist in the spirit of age-old Jewish tradition.
The secular opposition parties in the Beit Shemesh city council, with the NRP faction at their center, are continuing in their attempts to stymie construction in Ramat Beit Shemesh Gimmel.
Heads of educational institutions and public figures were astonished by Attorney General Mani Mazuz's interference, shortly before he is scheduled to leave office, in the funding of Jerusalem's chareidi education system — in total opposition to the Jerusalem Municipality's stance. Instead, he has shown consistent, ongoing support for City Hall's legal advisor, Atty. Yossi Chavilio.
In a recent interview HaRav Eliyohu Schlesinger, the rov of Jerusalem's Gilo neighborhood and the posek for the Jerusalem Rabbinate, spoke out against hazardous driving and the mortal threat it poses.
(Prepared for parshas Vayigash) Neighborhood rabbis and the Religious Council in Jerusalem are protesting deliberate actions by the municipality to furtively take down dozens of eruv posts in the southern part of the city.
(Prepared for parshas Vayigash) More than 100 rabbonim from across the country representing every stream of chareidi and national-religious Judaism signed a firm, unambiguous statement following a scandal that sets a dangerous precedent: the High Court reached a decision to blatantly intervene in clearly halachic issues by ordering the rov of Ashdod, HaRav Yosef Sheinin, to issue a kashrus certificate in contradiction to halacha.
(Prepared for parshas Vayigash) Thousands of bnei Torah from Ashdod and Bnei Brak, led by HaRav Aharon Leib Shteinman, HaRav Yehuda Lefkowitz, HaRav Nissim Karelitz, HaRav Chaim Kanievsky, roshei yeshivos, roshei kollelim, dayonim and morei horo'oh, took part Monday afternoon 4 Teves in an enormous levaya for HaRav Pinchos Schreiber zt"l, one of the roshei yeshiva of Yeshivas Breslov in Bnei Brak and the Gavad of kehilloh of avreichim in Ashdod, who passed away early Monday morning at the age of 78, following a short illness.
