Hundreds Protest Ongoing Jaffa Cemetery Desecration Some 200 avreichim from Jerusalem, Bnei Brak, Modi'in Illit and Beit Shemesh, led by HaRav Shmuel Auerbach shlita, took part in a protest Sunday against the ongoing desecration of the ancient Jewish cemetery in Jaffa, where contractors and officials show blatant disregard for the honor of the dead as well as the sensibilities of Jews around the world.
Jerusalem Municipality Insists: No Funding for Special-Ed Aides in Chareidi Schools Education officials both in and outside of Jerusalem had harsh reactions after the Jerusalem Municipality callously decided not to restore funding used to provide aides for handicapped children enrolled in mainstreaming programs at chareidi schools, funding that was provided for years in the capital and remains in place in other cities.
