Mearas Hamachpelah to Remain Open 24/7

During the seven of the Aseres Yemei Teshuva between Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur, Mearas Hamachpelah will remain open around the clock. Yossi Dayan of the local Religious Council said, "During the month of Elul thousands come to Chevron, and especially during the Aseres Yemei Teshuvah. Organized groups, families, individuals and groups from abroad. We requested to keep the Meara open through the night and our request was approved. We are planning special events to say Selichos during those nights."
