Jerusalem-based shemiras haloshon organization
Mishmeres HaSholom is expanding its efforts to eradicate
loshon hora and machlokes from Klal Yisroel.
In the last four years, Mishmeres HaSholom has inspired
thousands of women and children worldwide to commit to
learning two laws of proper speech each day.
Many of the participants are already conversant with the
halachos and have requested a review book that they can use
to learn the daily halachos in a few spare minutes between
other activities.
Mishmeres HaSholom is proud to announce it is now
distributing copies of a condensed format version of the laws
of shemiras haloshon, entitled "Kitzur Chofetz Chaim."
Written by Rabbi Asher Wasserman, "Kitzur Chofetz Chaim" is
an accurate, straightforward and easy to read digest of the
halachos of proper speech. Rabbi Wasserman lives in Bnei Brak
and is the author of many published works.
"Kitzur Chofetz Chaim" has endorsements from HaRav Nissim
Karelitz, HaRav Chaim Kanievsky and several other Torah
leaders. In order to make the new sefer accessible to
its members, Mishmeres HaSholom has set up mini-"bookstores"
in 35 locations country wide. These distribution centers are
in the homes of Mishmeres HaSholom volunteers. This enables
the organization to sell the sefer at a very
reasonable price.
In addition to the new sefer project, Mishmeres HaSholom is
currently planning a series of rallies to be held during Chol
Hamoed Succos. They are modeled on the successful rallies
that were held Chol Hamoed Pesach in Yerushalayim. Addressed
by gedolei hador and attended by thousands of members
of the Mishmeres HaSholom children's programs, the Pesach
rallies gave both inspiration and encouragement to the
participants.
During Chol Hamoed, Mishmeres HaSholom will publicize the
upcoming rallies locally in the neighborhoods where they are
to take place.
