On Monday MK Zevulun Orlev (NRP) tabled a law that would maintain the prohibition against all industrial and commercial activity on Shabbos, but would permit various cultural and leisure activities, with limitations on their locations and noise levels. Young Jewish Teacher Murdered in St. Petersburg

Dmitri Nikulinsky was murdered by skinheads as he left his St. Petersburg apartment on his way to shul last Shabbos. The 22-year-old, who taught at a local Jewish school, was brutally assaulted and suffered multiple stab wounds. The attackers took nothing and left him to die.
