RE: The book review on Naomi Brudner's new book, CARING, A
Jewish Guide to Caregiving.
In response to the inquiries that have been made regarding
"CARING" as well as the "CHOOSE LIFE RESOURCE CENTER," I
wanted to inform your readers that in addition to writing
books and tapes, Mrs. Brudner also lectures, teaches and
counsels on these and other 'life' subjects. She also does
guided imagery for health problems.
Her email address is: nbrudner1@neto.beziqint.net and her
phone number is 02-6540089.
Thank you. The Choose Life Resource Center
Another letter, Re: Bais Yaakov of Baltimore:
As a former student of B.Y. of Baltimore in its early years,
I read with interest the Reminiscences in your Jan. 6th
editon.
The inception of B.Y. of Baltimore was in 1940 with two
students. The school had been housed in at least three
locations (North Avenue — Eutaw Place, at the Glen
Avenue shul and in the 4600 Block Park Heights Ave. cottage)
before its transfer, about twelve years later, to the
spacious Greenspring Ave. estate — "39 rolling acres"
— described in Mrs. Perlman's article, and was already
an active and successful institution for chinuch
habonos.
I am grateful to Mrs. Perlman for a nostalgic peek into our
past.
R.W.
