At the conclusion of the meeting Sharon announced he had decided to bring all of the Bnei Falashmura to Israel within three years and to double the number of Falashmura immigrants every month.

Egged Hiring Drivers for Mehadrin Lines

For the first time ever, Egged placed ads to encourage Jerusalem's chareidi residents to join company-sponsored training courses in preparation for jobs as drivers on the mehadrin lines. Suitable candidates who hold regular drivers' licenses and meet Transportation Ministry qualifications will participate in a six-month course at the Egged School of Driving, including both theory and hands-on instruction.

The Ayalon Expressway recently opened the southern section with interchanges rather than traffic lights. The completion of the project, along with the previous completion of the northern part of the expressway, allows rapid through travel along the north-south length of the Tel Aviv metropolis.
