Lev L'Achim Renews Warnings Against Vacations at Nes Amim

By A. Cohen

The heads of Lev L'Achim's anti-missionary department are reissuing warnings not to participating in vacation packages held at the Kibbutz Nes Amim Guesthouse in the Galil.

Lev L'Achim has issued several warnings in the past about vacation packages held at the kibbutz, whose members organize events designed to preach conversion from Judaism, Rachmono litzlan. The public is cautioned to avoid the kibbutz both due to the spiritual perils and the prohibition against supporting transgressors.

Last summer a Shabbos weekend billed "Nofesh Pi'ut Vehischazkus" scheduled to take place at the Nes Amim guesthouse with a long list of "leading chazzanim" taking part was cancelled at the last moment when HaRav Nissim Karelitz publicized a notice banning the event.

Lev L'Achim organizers thought that the kibbutz members had learned their lesson, but recently ads appeared hailing a "Hilulas Lag B'Omer" with "gedolei hachazzanim hapaitanim vehazamorim mikol ha'olom" at a guesthouse that was not named but was said to be "belev haGalil" — in the heart of the Galil. A brief inquiry revealed the guesthouse "in the heart of the Galilee" was none other than the guesthouse at Kibbutz Nes Amim.

A similar event is being planned for Shavuos and Parshas Nosso as well by an organization known as Moriah Tiyulim Venesiot.

Rabbonim and public figures were deeply disturbed by the foolish attempt to place a stumbling block before Jews who keep Torah and mitzvas by hosting an event at a place gedolei Yisroel have banned outright due to the deception that takes place there.

Lev L'Achim's anti-missionary activists again warn the public not to participate in events of this kind. They also contacted the chazzanim and paytanim scheduled to appear at the "Hilula" asking them not to take part in the event.
