celebrate the hiluloh of R' Shimon Bar Yochai.
According to police estimates over 300,000 visitors arrived.
Heavy congestion was reported on the roads leading to Meron

vehicles arrived at the site and major traffic snarls
developed on the morning of Lag B'Omer when two buses broke
down.

including a few who had to be transported to Ziv Hospital in
Tzfas. One visitor suffered serious burns and five others
suffered light burns. Two others were injured by sharp
objects and three suffered broken bones due to falls. Three
celebrants had to be hospitalized after complaining of chest
pains and one suffered a stroke.
