Palestinian Boy Used as Unwitting Suicide Terrorist
by Yated Ne'eman Staff
IDF soldiers at the Hawara checkpoint on Monday, 15 March

As the Massachusetts legislature debated a proposal to amend
the state constitution to ban the redefinition of marriage,

A Letter Of Encouragement Recently Sent By HaRav Aharon Leib
Shteinman To French Jewry
"Whoever Prevents His Son From Learning Torah Should Be
Aware That He's Affecting His Own Life . . ."
Chazal's statement about the travails preceding Moshiach's
arrival is well known: "What should a person do to be saved
from the pangs of Moshiach's arrival? He should occupy
himself with Torah and with practicing kindness."
Changes in South African Jewry
by D. Saks
The dramatic demographic shifts in the South African Jewish
community over the past half-a-century were underlined in the
latest national census findings. Conducted in 2001, the
census put the Jewish population at just under 75,000, down
from a high of 120,000 in 1980. Of these, over 95 percent
resided in the major urban centers, mainly Johannesburg and
Cape Town.
OPINION &
COMMENT
Torah Carries Us
It is now about a year since the Finance Minister and his
Treasury Department first began their emergency measures to
reform and rehabilitate the Israeli economy. So far, for the
vast majority of Israelis, things have been getting only
worse. Though there are some signs that this may be changing
for the better, it has not happened yet. It may happen and it
may not.

Thanks, But No, Thanks!
by Zipora Zien
Coincidence -- shades of Amolek. How can we internalize the
lesson for good that "the Creator has His finger in every
