HOME & FAMILY Choosing the Music --A Yiddishe Wedding by Rabbi Ephraim Luft
Did you know that those bands which are infamous for playing
in a disrespectful manner usually charge far more than kosher
bands of the same size and quality?
Did you know that the custom of the chosson choosing
the band is not bound by any hard-and-fast rule?
Did you know that there is a list of Kosher Bands and
Musicians?
Never Ending Tune Our financial gains and losses are decreed from the beginning of the year. No one can take away what is rightfully ours and you better believe it!
Roam, Sweet Home
How many blessings do we take for granted?
Elul, the time to take stock and give thanks for the
given.
A Blessing in the House
I was visiting a family recently and was impressed. Both
parents and every child who was able to read, including two
teenagers, benched from a siddur/bencher. Not
only that, but they seemed to concentrate on what they were
saying and they said it out loud.
An Easy Fast
With two fasts coming up, I have asked two of my favorite
writers to express their feelings on the subject of fasting.
They have done an admirable job. I have my own strong
feelings in the matter and pending FEEDback from our readers,
I will write something as well. SYMPOSIUM
"Maybe we have a collective attitude problem..."

It is always a pleasure to read your articles in YATED, even
if you don't sign your full name. It makes me stop and
think.
