The Unique Claim of Yated
We have often observed that all the strengths and the
weaknesses of Yated Ne'eman are the result of one
simple fact: it is a publication whose top management is
rabbonim.
It Was Meant to Be . . . Or Was It? A Middos
Workshop
Based on the shiurim of Rav Dovid Siegel
Part II
The first part noted the basic question: As believing
Jews, we know that everything which happens to us is min
haShomayim -- Divine Providence straight from Hashem. At
the same time, we are held accountable for our actions. How
do we accept responsibility for the decisions we make, while
forfeiting control over the paths that our lives take?
Internal Aliyah
by Dr. E. Shussheim
At a recent conference in Herzliya, Finance Minister Binyamin
Netanyahu spoke about the demographic threat to the State of
Israel and its future existence as a Jewish state, based on
the gap between the birthrate among Israeli Arabs and the
birthrate among Israeli Jews. I would like to present what I

The Metahistorical Basis of the Jewish People
by Yisroel Spiegel
The whole unique Jewish weltanschauung is epitomized
in the commandment, "This month shall be unto you the head of
months, the first shall it be for all the months of the year"
(Bo 12:1). We are charged with this commandment even
before the beginning of the exodus from Egypt, before the
liberation from bondage to freedom.
Politica: A Nation in Waiting
by E. Rauchberger
When an indictment was filed against David Appel recently
Prime Minister Ariel Sharon continued to act perfectly
nonchalant, seemingly oblivious to the fact it mentions him
by name, saying attempts were made to bribe him and that he
knew his son Gilad stood to gain a large amount of money. But
despite appearances, Sharon knows he cannot afford to be at
ease and is well aware he may soon have to leave the post
that is so dear to him.
