GREATNESS

Our greatness lies in seeing greatness in others.

How so? For when we look at others as being small, we act and think in a small way, and this causes us to be small.

But when we look at others as being great, as being glorious, we glorify them. In making them Large, we act in a large way. Thus, as we elevate them, we elevate ourselves. For higher than the king himself stands the kingmaker.

This is true, too, for our relationship with Hashem. As we elevate others, so, too, and all the more so, we need to elevate and glorify Hashem.

"How great are Your works, Hashem," we must say. "You created it all with genius..." (Tehillim 104:24).

We need to sing these words; we need to roar out such thoughts. Then, and as we do so, Hashem will elevate us high, high, high -- higher than the sky.
