a gathering like this in honor of Torah," HaRav Mattisyahu
Salomon, the mashgiach of the Lakewood yeshiva in the United
States, said in his speech at the dinner of the Yad Mordechai
institutions. "I call upon all of the Jews here: give me the
nefesh. Send your sons and daughters to Torah
institutions, so that they won't be lost."
Secular Students Inspired by Shabbos in Bnei Brak For each of the last four years, Lev L'Achim has enrolled
thousands of secular children in Torah schools. But that,
says enrollment worker Rabbi Shraga Elfer, is the easy part.
Getting them to stay there -- and to become religious Jews --
