On Monday, June 17, 2002, 8 Tammuz 5762, the dedication of
the new beis hamedrash of Yeshivas Nachlas Asher, a
division of Beer Avraham Educational Institutions, took place
in the Givat Shaul neighborhood of Jerusalem.
The yeshiva was founded ten years ago and has since grown and
developed both in its high standard of learning and in the
number of its students. As a result of the tremendous growth
the yeshiva has experienced, it became necessary to enlarge
the existing facility and build a new and larger beis
hamedrash.
The dedication of the new and beautiful bais hamedrash
was held in the presence of gedolei Yisroel, parents
of past and present students, yeshiva graduates, roshei
yeshiva and many friends of the yeshiva from Jerusalem
and around the country.
After ma'ariv, Tehillim were read, and HaRav Nosson
Zochovsky, a rosh yeshiva at Yeshivas Gaon Yaakov,
Bnei Brak, and a close personal friend of the rosh
yeshiva HaRav Yehoshua Karlinsky, addressed the
gathering.
In addition to his good wishes for the continuing success of
the yeshiva, he shared memories of the times he and HaRav
Karlinsky spent learning together in the yeshiva of HaRav
Aron Leib Steinman. He also expressed HaRav Steinman's deep
regrets for not attending the Chanukas Habayis, due to
health reasons.
HaMashgiach Hatzaddik HaRav Shlomo Wolbe, a resident
of Givat Shaul, expressed his feelings about the uniqueness
of the yeshiva "as a place of Torah where the young students
are educated to Torah, yiras Shomayim and good
middos, while attending to each student's individual
needs." He also remarked on the tremendous impact the yeshiva
has had on the Torah community in Givat Shaul.
HaRav Meir Karlinsky, rosh yeshiva, read letters of
brochoh from Maran HaRav Yosef Sholom Eliashiv and
HaRav Chaim Pinchas Scheinberg who, in addition to wishes for
continued success, remarked how he was personally pleased at
the level his own great- grandchild reached in his studies in
the yeshiva.
Afterwards, HaRav Yitzchok Ehrenfeld, rosh yeshiva
Bais Shmuel, HaRav Yisroel Ganz, from the roshei
yeshiva of Kol Torah, HaRav Yitzchok Haker, from the
roshei yeshiva of Grodno Yismach Moshe and HaRav
Eliezer Oizer, rosh yeshiva Lomzhe in Petach Tikva,
addressed the gathering.
These were followed by the stirring words of HaRav Mordechai
Zukerman, rov of Perushim Shul in Givat Shaul, who described
the revolution that the yeshiva and Beer Avrohom in general
had made in Givat Shaul.
He said that it is greatly in the zchus of HaRav
Karlinsky that Givat Shaul has become the Torah center that
it is today.
HaRav Shmuel Auerbach, rosh yeshiva Maalos Hatorah,
stressed the approach of the yeshiva of giving individual
attention to each student, and instilling in the students
derech eretz kodmo laTorah.
HaRav Boruch Mordechai Ezrachi, rosh yeshiva Ateres
Yisroel, pointed out that the graduates of Nachlas Asher
stand out in the yeshivas in which they continue because they
also are baalei middos, and one can recognize the
stamp of Nachlas Asher on them.
As a representative of the parents, Rav Avraham Maklev,
expressed his deep personal gratitude and that of all the
parents for the dedication that the staff shows to all the
students as they guide them to higher levels in Torah and
mussar.
The Rosh Hayeshiva, HaRav Yehoshua Karlinsky, addressed the
gathering and spoke of the necessity for students to be
instilled with the desire for greater accomplishments. He
also expressed his heartfelt thanks to all the staff of
Nachlas Asher for their dedication and mesirus nefesh
for the yeshiva.
Other rabbonim in attendance were, HaRav Leib Rotkin, rosh
yeshiva Zichron Yosef Arye, HaRav Yigal Rosen, rosh
yeshiva Or Yisroel, HaRav Shlomo Neiman, rov of Ramot,
