Israel to Present Another New Economic Plan

The ink was hardly dry on the most recent economic plan when then Israeli government announced that it would present a new one in a month. However, the old plan refers to the current year, and the new plan applies mostly to the next fiscal year.


Bush Expected to Outline Mideast Vision; Awful Terrorist Bomb in Jerusalem

US President Bush is expected to outline his vision of what peace in the Middle East could look like in a speech on Tuesday or on Wednesday. According to press reports, United States recently gave Israel and Egypt the main points of its plan regarding the establishment of a Palestinian state.

This year's camp will be held at the Post Hotel near Arosa, a crossroads town between St. Moritz and Chur.

Every year on Israeli Independence Day the Central Bureau of Statistics publishes figures on the demography of the State -- the balance between Jews and non-Jews in Israel. This year the balance was 81 percent Jews and 19 percent non-Jews.

A Poor Ideology that Targets Children

It is clear that strong measures had to be taken for the Israeli economy. The economic slowdown caused reduced revenues from taxes for the government, at the same time as security needs to counter the awful terrorism forced increased spending for defense.
