The Amounts are Trivial
by Mordecai Plaut
According to a report in the Jerusalem Post the U.S.

American Hebrew Congregations, the synagogue organization of

million, "generally sends some 1,500 teenagers to Israel on
a variety of programs each summer," according to the
Jerusalem Post and according to their published
reports.

Brak from a Sect with Unacceptable Views
by Yated Ne'eman Staff

Ha'aretz's Blatantly Bigoted Reporting of the
Dolphinarium Tragedy
by Yated Ne'eman staff
Ha'aretz, Israel's left wing "intellectual" newspaper
has a healthy respect for the truth. So much respect, in
fact, that is saves it for special occasions, certainly none
having anything to do with chareidim.

Special Discussion in Knesset on Versailles
Disaster
by Eliezer Rauchberger
"Every day, we pay a heavy, terrible and superfluous toll in
blood, which is the result of negligence, conceit, egotism.
and superficiality. In Israel there are people with unusual
talents in all areas of life, who, to my dismay, too
frequently become lost in the sea of amateurism."

Sharon's Next Moves
From the beginning of the current Palestinian-initiated
violence on erev Rosh Hashana this past year, it was common
wisdom that PA head Yasser Arafat was trying to use his
weakness in the field to defeat Israel on the world media
stage. It was clear that his strategy was to provoke Israel
more and more, to try to use Israel's military effectiveness
in order to bring world pressure against Israel, by
introducing an international observer force in order to
"protect" the Palestinians from Israeli military might.

Identifying Burn-Out
by R' Zvi Zobin
Question: What can you advise about young men and
boys who feel `burnt-out'? How can they relax and
then revive their interest in learning? Some seem to get
`mono' after their wedding and variations of `burn-out.' Do
you have any ideas?

Additional Luach Information
The earliest time of Kiddush Levonoh -- Tammuz
The time of Kiddush Levonoh everywhere in the world
begins when it is Sunday morning, 3 Tammuz (June 24). In the
extreme west countries near the U.S.A. and Canada it is
possible to make a berochoh on Motzei Shabbos
according to the difference in time zones in comparison to
Eretz Yisroel. However, in all other parts of the world the
beginning time is on Sunday night, the eve of 4 Tammuz.
A solar eclipse invisible in Eretz Yisroel will take place
this month on Thursday, 30 Sivan (June 21). The eclipse's
peak is at 3:04 P.M. and the astronomical new moon precedes
it and will be at 2:58 P.M. The eclipse should apparently
indicate to us to begin saying Kiddush Levonoh more
than six hours later. Since, however, the moon passes its
perigee (lowest point) and during the three days afterward
it moves extremely quickly, not only the entire regression
of its appearance is cancelled, but a certain advancement is
obvious.
