It is a source of great regret that the communal unity of
Passover matzo production over many decades has been broken
and that aspersions have been cast over the Kashrut of
Rakusen's Matzos.
We therefore wish to state that:
1. The manufacture of Rakusen's Passover Matzos is monitored
and guided by the Botei Din mentioned below and Dayanim make
regular visits to the factory and are involved in all aspects
of production. The day-to-day control is under the immediate
auspices of Rabbi Saadia Amor, a renowned Talmid Chacham and
world expert on Matzo production.
2. The Rakusens's bakery is set up to produce Matzos to the
highest standards incorporating many stringencies and
hiddurim. As a result it enjoys a reputation as one of the
world's finest matzo bakeries. It is for this reason that the
renowned Gateshead Rav produces his matzos in Rakusen's on
the identical equipment used for regular production.
3. For the avoidance of any doubt we unequivocally state that
Rakusen's Matzos remain kosher le'Pesach le'Mehadrin to the
highest standard.

Editor's Note: A news item in last week's edition could
have given the impression that Rakusens Matzos do not have a
hechsher. This is obviously far from being true, and
we regret any misunderstandings our misleading headline may
have caused.
