Major US Missionary Group Channeling Millions of Shekels to Israel Through Keren Yedidut
by Betzalel Kahn

A Yated Ne'eman investigation has found that a group of Christian missionaries has gained a strong foothold in public and social institutions by funneling generous donations through an organization headed by a Jew wearing a yarmulke.

Note About this Issue

Although it was produced before Shavuos, this issue is dated erev Shabbos parshas Noso, which is after Shavuos. This was done due to the fact that there is no way to distribute a paper in chutz la'aretz between Shavuos and Shabbos.

Shearis Yisroel Rabbonim Begin Checking Kashrus of Different Types of Wigs
By Betzalel Kahn

Shearis Yisroel rabbonim met in Bnei Brak to discuss how to proceed in assessing the kashrus of various types of wigs imported to Eretz Yisroel and consulted Maran HaRav Yosef Sholom Eliashiv to clarify the numerous questions that arose during the course of the long meeting.

UTJ and Shas MKs Unite to Disrupt Knesset Plenum
By Eliezer Rauchberger

An unusual sight was seen in the Knesset last week when the chareidi MKs from United Torah Jewry and Shas brought the plenum to a halt as an act of protest against the government's constant scheming and deliberate attacks against every area of chareidi education, religious services and religious values, the religious council workers' withheld wages and the general undermining of the Jewish character of the State of Israel.

American Agudath Israel Gears Up for 11th Siyum HaShas
by Yated Ne'eman Staff

Hosting a celebration for a crowd of 50,000 (over 120,00 if you count nationwide satellite hook-ups to the festivities) takes more than a little advance planning.

Gaza Deaths Earn U.S. Rebuke
by R. Kampeas

If Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon was wondering how much time the White House would give him to come up with a new exit strategy from Gaza, the answer came this week: As little as it takes to wipe those awful photos off the front pages.

HaRav Chanoch Segal, Hy"d
He Came to Him in a Dream Saying "Please Take 14 Shekels and Pay Him Back"

By G. Safran

The following extraordinary, inspiring story contains a unique message about the exactitude of din in the Upper Realms, the obligation to be wary in money matters and how someone who followed the halochoh exactingly all his life received Divine assistance even after he left this world, during the first twelve months after his petiroh.

OPINION & COMMENT

A Protest of Outrage and Frustration

On Wednesday 28 Sivan the chareidi MKs, all together, staged a very loud and disruptive protest in the Knesset plenum. It was not behavior that is natural to many of them, but it was the expression of a year of frustration as the basic human issues that affect the religious public are not even addressed by the government, despite months and months of repeated letters, requests and even meetings discussing the issues.

On Wigs and Wings...
by Pessy Miller

The recent finds should hardly surprise us as we ourselves have made an avoda zora out of our sheitlach. We worship the absolute, flawless, ultimate look, and we sacrifice to that end nearly all that we have.
