The Rainy Season So Far

The huge amount of rains which fell in recent rainfalls, together with the local rainfall at the beginning of the month February, have continued to improve, baruch Hashem, the seasonal rainfall balance. This was reported by a intermediate account published at the beginning of the week by the Meteorological Service.

New Cheap Apartments in Bnei Brak and Beit Shemesh

The Housing Ministry officially announced on 11 Adar II (March 18) the results of a tender-bid for the price of housing units in a project in Bnei Brak. The framework is called Mechir LeMishtakein in which the contractors' bid is the price at which they will sell the finished apartments to consumers. The lowest price bid wins.

A Light Amidst the Darkness: Undertsanding the Halachos of Purim Night

Redemption By Day

Our Sages reveal to us that from the time of the Temple's destruction, the continuation of the world hinges on the recitation of the verse, Kodosh, kodosh, kodosh . . . that we say twice (with Targum) during Kedushah Desidra (Sotah 49a). Although this tefilloh is generally said at the end of Shacharis, on Purim we also recite it at night after the Megilah reading. Since it contains the phrase Atoh kodosh, which is taken from the shir shel yom of Purim (Tehillim 22), our Sages integrated it as part of Maariv (Kol Bo 45).
