Our weekly report of the rain and the level of the Kineret -

As of January 24 (18 Shvat) 313 millimeters of rain had
fallen in the Jerusalem area during the current season
(August 1 to date). This represents 117% of the average
rainfall for this period and 58% of the average rainfall for
the entire season in the Jerusalem area which is 537 mm.
In most of the country the rainfall is still above the average
rainfall for the period even though we have not had much rain this past week.
The current level of the Kinneret is -213.67 meters below
sea level, which is below the lower red line of -213 meters.
The level rose 23 centimeters over the past week. It continues to rise from the flow of rain thas has fallen. To get to the
red line we need to rise only 0.67 meters. It looks likely that we will get that within a month
or so. But keep davening.
